MOBILITY TO SPAIN

During the 3rd to the 7th we have a mobility in our city Ferrol. It was very interesting and a great experience for us. The first day we received all the group with the Rondalla “Añoranzas”

They sang songs about Ferrol, the streets of Ferrol, and about “Las pepitas”. It is a tradition in our city, the evening before Saint Joseph, different Rondallas groups walk through the town singing, especially to the Ferrol woman. This day is called Pepitas´ day ( Pepita is the nickname of Josephine)

After that, we played gymkhana games to know our school. The students of different classes had prepared some games to teach to our guests.

The second day we visited Santiago de Compostela. The roofs of the Cathedral, El Pórtico de la Gloria and then a tour around the city.

On Wednesday we took a boat ride along the Ferrol estuary and visited San Felipe Castle.

Then we did a Meninas´ workshop in the school library. We made Meninas´ shaped wooden keychains.

On Thursday we started the day making a tour of the Arsenal.

And to gain strength we had chocolate with “churros”.

Then we visited Exponav, which is a shipbuilding museum.

In the afternoon we visited the teacher training center (CFR) where the teachers learned about the Spanish educational system and the students had the opportunity to play with robots.
On Wednesday they worked with the students of the 6th grade to make a bag of Ferrol.

For the farewell, the 5th-grade students danced a Muiñeira accompanied by a Galician music group.
